Goose Run Farms
Our 78-acre farm is located just a
half-mile from Homer Village
Market. We have been converting
more of the cropland to cross-fenced
pasture over the years to provide
more high-quality grazing areas for
our beloved sheep.
Our free-range chickens roam the
barnyards, pastures, and meadows
where they have plenty of seeds,
insects, sunshine, and water. Our
customers tell us that our eggs are
the best they have ever tasted! The
deep yellow yolks have wonderful
flavor and impart beautiful color to
baked goods and home-made pasta.
One of the hazards of free-ranging
chickens is loss to predators such as
owls, raccoons, weasels, mink, and
skunk. Our flock is currently very
small and not producing enough eggs.
